USA Cycling Announces Team for World Championships
In March, 2006, USA Cycling announced the team that will represent America in the way of the Union Cycliste International 2006 World Championships of cycling. This event will take place from April 13 until April 16 and will be held in Bordeaux, France.
The team will be featured in the top 14 positions for the 2006 World Championships, which was determined by the performance events of 2005-2006 season World Cup. Members of the team this year were selected, however, after the last USA Cycling track talent composed of cyclists who have qualified in the championship 2005 Track national elite has reached a standard of time in Los Angeles for tests qualification and / or a selection of coaches.

The 2006 U.S. Track Cycling World Championship Team Sprint consists of the men's division, which will feature Stephen Alfred, Ben Barczewski, Michael Blatchford, Giddeon Massie and Stahl Chrisitne. The Men's Endurance Division will feature Michael Friedman, Bobby Lea, Brad Huff, Chad Hartley, Danny Page, Michael Creed and Taylor Tolleson. The Department of Women's Sprint will feature women, who include Jennie Reed. The women's team will consist of Endurance Sarah Hammer, Becky Quinn and Kristin Armstrong.
