Can you face a friend with WiFi in Pokemon Pearl with a Platinum game card?
I have Platinum and my friend has Pearl. Can we do a Wifi battle?
Yes you can.
But note this:
While there is no compatibility issues on this, there is a bug with the attack “pursuit” where if used in any battle whether its multi-player (online or not) or in game against non-player trainers, this will, when making the opponent’s Pokemon to faint (pursuit is weak so, it must be yellow or red HP) when any weather effect is active, will cause ALL WEATHER EFFECTS EVEN IF ITS NOT HAIL OR SANDSTORM TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO EVERYONE ON YOUR GAME BUT NOT ON DIAMOND OR PEARL. This is called acid rain by fans.
So in reality, you’re fine as long as you don’t use pursuit.
